Edo State delegates, yesterday, chased away the Minister of Health, Dr. Osage Ehanire, from the stand designated for the State at the Eagle Square, venue of the national convention of the ruling All Progressives Congress, (APC).
For reasons not yet known, the embarrassment for the minister came from the delegates who were at the State’s stand designated for them for the APC convention.
According to reports, Ehanire, who was shocked by the action of the delegates, left with his aides to the VIP stand.
Meanwhile, with the heavy fanfare that had taken over the ruling party’s national convention, banners and posters bearing the names and photographs of key figures in the present administration flooded the venue of the event.
The APC national convention was taking place at Eagle Square, in Abuja, after several crisis that rocked the party were settled.
The convention is expected to see to the emergence of key officials that would steer the activities of the party ahead of the 2023 general election and beyond.
